As (mostly) everyone knows, people, namely women, pull their personal style from different points of inspiration. My personal influences usually come from TV and Movies. I recently re-watched the Coven season of American Horror Story to remind myself that Ryan Murphy was good at his job at one point (Freak Show= Disaster), and aside from the totally awesome witch-bitchiness of season 3, the clothes are perfection. The first time I had watched it, I stalked boho-goth on Pinterest for 2 weeks straight. This time, I more appropriately decided to call it “witch chic” (no, this does not mean I think witches are real- I like fashion, not cults).
As I have always been a huge fan of the color black (in a chic way, not an I-hate-the-world way), as well as pointy shoes, floppy hats, and looser fitting clothing, this particular AHS season really assisted in grasping a further understanding of my personal style, which I describe as classic with an edge *pause for dramatic effect*.
Please appreciate this GIFF of Taissa Farmiga as Zoe Benson looking fierce AF.
